How to remove noise from a lightroom
When you use a high ISO, such as taking photos indoors, or at night your images will often be noisy. Even cameras that are capable of handling high ISOs can produce SOME noise at super-high ISOs.
Lightroom can help you reduce digital noise from your images.
As noise is removed, the pixels of your image will be smoothed out.
1. OPEN THE DETAILS PANEL
Start by going to the Detail Panel in the Development Module. This is where you will make the noise reduction settings.
You will find the following in the Detail Panel:
-
- The preview box will be zoomed in 1:1 to a specific area of the photo.
- The Denoise Button is the new A.I. Noise Reduction Option).
- There is a dropdown menu for Manual Noise Reduction that has several sliders. These sliders can be used to correct Luminance Noise or Color Noise.
This panel is also responsible for image sharpening. click on the link to learn more about how to use Lightroom’s sharpening sliders
2. Zoom in
If you want to make noise reduction adjustments, you should be fully zoomed-in. This will allow you to better see the noises and changes that you’re making. Zoom out to make sure your subject doesn’t lose too much detail after making the adjustments. Use the sliders to fine tune your results.
