HOW TO EDIT NEWBORNS IN LIGHTROOM
You will never forget the sweetness of a newborn photo. These babies are precious, beautiful and wonderful.
There are many areas that could cause problems. Many newborn photos show babies with red skin, hands and feet that are red or purple, and other problems.
Post-processing is almost always required for images of newborns. This article will demonstrate how to use presets to fix the most common issues in newborn images.
The Bella Baby Newborn Complete Preset Collection contains our favorite presets for Lightroom and brushes.
For a simple “clean edit,” begin with the presets in the Presets section on the left of the Develop module. We will again be using presets in the Bella Baby Newborn Collection.
Let’s begin with this SOOC image (straight from the camera):
STEP 1: Choose a global preset
The Bella Baby Newborn Preset Collection includes the Pat a Cake preset. All-in-one presets will affect the entire image.
STEP 2: IF NEEDED, ADJUST THE WHITE BALANCE
This is the best time to make any white-balance adjustments. The eyedropper can be used to fix any white balance problems. This image is pretty well balanced straight from the camera. I added some warmth.
Here is the image after adding the Pat a Cake preset, and a small white balance adjustment. Already, it looks great! !
